I hear a lot of persons telling me they know who God is. I was a 'christian' pastor for 30 years, and every 'christian' I met, pastor, and other religious leader - well, they all said they knew who this God is. What is amazing to me is how many of those who say they know God have no idea who they are, but they say they know this 'God' they've been told about by others who have no idea who they are. Interesting. Possibly, we need to admit we don't know who we are or who God is. At least, that would be honest.

I'm I
Dissident Verse
AREM .
I'm not religious I'm not spiritual I'm just I
They need to cover their Face Not I, Not I
Here's mine See or Close your eyes
I'm not wearing a mask I'm not trying to be an anybody I'm not here to be a somebody
They need to cover their Face Not I, Not I
Here's mine See or Close your eyes
I'm no guru I'm no gospel seller I'm just I
Here's my Face Here's I No mask... So, go on See or Close your eyes
I'm I That's enough Don't ask why? I'm just I
If someone doesn't like it If they want a facade... Go on, now Move on with closed eyes
I'm just I I'm I... See or Close the eyes

Woodstock-Joni Mitchell
I came upon a child of God He was walking along the road And I asked him where are you going And this he told me I'm going on down to Yasgur's farm I'm going to join in a rock 'n' roll band I'm going to camp out on the land I'm going to try an' get my soul free
[Chorus]
We are stardust We are golden And we've got to get ourselves Back to the garden
Then can I walk beside you I have come here to lose the smog And I feel to be a cog in something turning Well maybe it is just the time of year Or maybe it's the time of man I don't know who I am But you know life is for learning
By the time we got to Woodstock We were half a million strong And everywhere there was song and celebration And I dreamed I saw the bombers Riding shotgun in the sky And they were turning into butterflies Above our nation

Arem shares from a personal account of a man who showed him the power of unedited authenticity, realness that is the nature of Essence, of who we each truly are as expressions of Spirit. Arem challenges us to allow the authentic Essence to manifest itself, by our allowance for It to arise and express Itself.

You've been trained to assume mindlessly, without question, that your life has meaning only if it has a purpose, a right end to show that you've lived responsibly. This allows others to decide for you what a right purpose would be. I'm saying, drop all that for a moment. Feel what life is without a purpose, without a goal that justifies your experience of life to yourself, to anyone else. Feel purposeless bliss. You know what? The purpose of life is life, for you to live it fully, with no end outside life itself. You don't have to believe in God or an afterlife, or have a mega-purpose to life to live joyfully, lovingly, to drink the cup of experience fully, and rejoice. So, why not spend some time daily just relaxing, for no purpose but to let life be life, let yourself be yourself? If you want to say this is a purpose, okay - then, this is a purpose inherent to life itself, you yourself, not added as an extra to life, to you yourself. Feel the freshness of life being life, and drop all else. And to feel this you've got to get out of your head, dropping the fascination with thought. And I'm not saying return to your Heart. Don't return anywhere. There's nowhere to return to. Just be... life... yourself.
